This easy and quick low carb pizza option is tasty and high in protein! This recipe makes two servings (one serving = 1/2 pizza).

Ingredients

  • 4 large egg whites (must be room temperature)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp pizza sauce
  • 2 oz shredded cheese
  • 1 oz pepperonis

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add egg whites.
  3. Using a hand mixer, beat the egg whites until the peaks start to stiffen (no liquid).
  4. Add the cornstarch and continue beating, until the peaks start to stiffen more (thick
  5. consistency).
  6. Transfer the mixture onto the lined baking sheet.
  7. Using the back of a spoon, shape it into a circular
  8. pizza shape and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
  9. Place it in the oven and bake for 15-17 minutes, until golden on top.
  10. Remove the crust from the oven and top with sauce, shredded cheese, and other toppings of choice.
  11. Spray the crust with cooking spray and place back in the oven for 5-10 minutes, until the cheese has melted.
  12. Remove the egg white pizza from the oven, slice and enjoy.
